Business

I still wonder how small textile shops in the same road survive amidst heavy business competition?? Say for instance in T.Nagar Usman Road there r umpteen small shops inspite of Textile Giants like RMKV, Nalli, Pothys, Kumaran silks, Chennai Silks …this list goes on

But if we analyze the reason is it coz of

*)More Customer Friendlyness than big /reputed shops (I have a perception that sales men/girl would be more customer friendly in small shops rather than the renowned ones)

*)Cost factor, like products r offered @ economic rates.

*)Repeat customers..(Especially during our college life if any of our frnd says shop Y is gud and u get gud collection v wud surely visit shop Y )

*) ????

{Needless to say about the buzzing Chennai crowd especially during festive season }

Idhukku mela yosika mudiyala :?? Therinja sollunga ;)))

1 more reason for their survival, during festival seaso big shops resemble a shandai kadai, angai poi eppidi thuni vaanga mudiyum? small shops na nimmadhi-a thuni vaangalam, adu oru periya factor

Its mainly because of women. Ore kadai la thuNi vaangita ennatha shopping? Oru full day T Nagar la spend pannuvaanga even to buy a matching bit piece. Appadi irukkacha naturally they get tired.
And they sit in one chinna kadai. That kadai mudhalaali will send someone to get paneer soda, tea/coffee etc for the customer. Avlo dhaan. Matter over :-D

BIG shop guys have a BIGGER attitude, that may be one of the main reasons...and women folk ahve better choice in smaller shops.. its like getting a book in higginbothams or the old road side book shops of triplicane or moore market..the latter gives us more alpa santhosham too as we have satisfaction of bargaining :)
